Privacy policy
Updated 14 October 2026
Short version: your data is yours. Eden uses it only to show your day and power Eden, your health partner. It isn't sold, isn't used for ads, and you can download or delete all of it from the app at any time.
What Eden keeps in your account
- Your sign-in. Sign in with Apple gives us an anonymous Apple identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email (it can be Apple's private relay address).
- What you log. Meals and foods, workouts and sets, weigh-ins and body measurements, supplements, medications and peptides you record, check-ins, goals, recipes, your pantry and shopping list.
- Conversations with Eden and the changes Eden proposed or made, so you can review and undo them.
- Photos you attach to a log, such as a nutrition label. Receipts, barcodes and pantry photos are read on your iPhone and not uploaded. A photo you send to Eden is handled like any question to Eden (see Eden).
- Settings such as your time zone, units and reminder times.
Apple Health
With your permission, Eden reads steps, weight, workouts, heart rate, active energy, walking and cycling distance and cardio fitness from Apple Health to show your day. It doesn't write to Apple Health, never uses Health data for advertising or marketing, and never shares it with third parties except as described under "Eden" when you ask Eden a question. You can change access in the Health app at any time.
WHOOP
If you connect WHOOP, Eden reads your recovery, sleep, strain, workouts and body measurements through WHOOP's official connection, using a sign-in you approve on WHOOP's own page. Eden keeps a daily summary of those numbers in your account so it can show trends, and keeps WHOOP's sign-in encrypted so it can fetch new days. It never uses WHOOP data to train AI models, and WHOOP's numbers are shown as WHOOP's. Disconnect at any time in Settings โ Connections, or in your WHOOP account: Eden then forgets the sign-in and deletes the WHOOP days it stored.
Eden
Eden answers questions and proposes changes using your own data. Where it runs is your choice in Settings:
- On your iPhone (Apple Intelligence): nothing leaves the device.
- Apple's Private Cloud Compute: Apple processes the request and does not keep it.
- ChatGPT, through your own ChatGPT account: the question and the data Eden looks up for it are sent to OpenAI under your agreement with them.
Eden only reads Eden's own records. It does not read your calendar, messages, location or contacts. When it looks something up on the web, only the search words are sent.
Voice
With one of the voices that run on your iPhone, listening and speaking both happen on the device. If you choose a Cartesia voice in Settings, what you say in voice mode and Eden's spoken replies are sent to Cartesia to turn speech into text and text into audio; Eden doesn't store the audio.
Food search
When you look up a food, the search words or barcode are sent to Open Food Facts, the USDA FoodData Central database and TypeSafe (which helps pick the food you meant). No name, email or account details are sent with them.
Who else handles your data
- Railway hosts Eden's server and database, in the United States.
- Apple, OpenAI, Cartesia and the food databases above, only in the cases described.
Eden has no advertising, no analytics trackers and no data brokers, and never sells data.
Keeping and deleting
Your data stays until you delete it. Settings โ Account โ Delete account removes everything in your account from the server immediately; backups are kept for up to 60 days and then removed. Download my data gives you a copy at any time.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS. Each account can only read its own records, enforced on the server for every request. Sign-in tokens stay in your iPhone's Keychain.
Children
Eden is not intended for anyone under 16.
